Crested honey buzzards were regularly recorded during our visit.
At Chokpak single crested honey buzzards were recorded most days with up to three on any one day.
One bird was also recorded at Lake kyzylkol. This individual just missed the single panel net we had put up in our attempts to catch wagtails.
Luckily though one of the biggest surprises of the trip was the one found in the Helgoland at Chokpak on 11 September.
